Le rapport de janvier 2025 de Shift : Action for Pension Wealth and Planet Health (Shift), Gaslighting the Energy Transition: Hydrogen cannot prevent investments from putting planet and profits at risk<\/em>, r\u00e9v\u00e8le l’exposition des fonds de pension canadiens \u00e0 des risques financiers importants en raison de leurs investissements de plusieurs milliards de dollars dans des entreprises d’infrastructure gazi\u00e8re confront\u00e9es \u00e0 un d\u00e9clin terminal \u00e0 mesure que la transition \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique s’acc\u00e9l\u00e8re. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Les entreprises gazi\u00e8res minimisent leur exposition aux risques croissants li\u00e9s \u00e0 la transition en \u00e9voquant des projets de reconversion de leurs infrastructures pour le transport de l’hydrog\u00e8ne, ce qui conduit \u00e0 un \u00ab engouement pour l’hydrog\u00e8ne \u00bb qui surestime le r\u00f4le limit\u00e9 que les infrastructures gazi\u00e8res et l’hydrog\u00e8ne peuvent r\u00e9ellement jouer dans la transition \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique. Toutefois, ces affirmations d\u2019\u00e9coblanchiment ne passent pas une v\u00e9rification diligente. Le rapport d\u00e9taille les obstacles financiers, physiques, techniques et politiques qui font de l’hydrog\u00e8ne une solution inadapt\u00e9e au probl\u00e8me du climat et qui exposent les infrastructures gazi\u00e8res existantes \u00e0 un risque important d\u2019actifs \u00e9chou\u00e9s (stranding asset en anglais).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
