Resilient utilities: Strengthening corporate and climate governance in a volatile era

When: Monday, May 11, 2026 at 12:00-1:45pm EST

Where: Toronto Hydro, 14 Carlton Street Toronto, ON M5B 1K5

Canadian electricity utilities are operating amid geopolitical volatility, extreme weather, shifting regulations, and rising stakeholder expectations. In this environment, strong governance is critical to maintaining resilience, competitiveness, and long‑term value.

This invite‑only roundtable, hosted by the Canada Climate Law Initiative and Resilient LLP, will convene senior leaders to explore how boards and executives in the regulated energy sector can strengthen governance to better anticipate and manage emerging climate‑ and nature‑related risks.

Participants will engage in an interactive discussion on how effective oversight and climate‑risk management can support broader operational, financial, regulatory, and reputational resilience. The session offers a timely opportunity to connect with peers and advance more adaptive, sustainable governance practices in a rapidly evolving landscape.
