We are instructed by the Commonwealth Climate and Law Initiative to provide our joint opinion on: (i) the extent to which directors of for-profit corporations are permitted or required, in the discharge of their duties under Hong Kong law, to have regard to considerations and risks associated with climate change; and (ii) in the case of companies listed on Stock Exchange of Hong Kong, the extent of disclosure obligations in respect of climate change-related risks.
