Eli Angen

Eli Angen is a Managing Director of Sustainable Investing at the Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan (OTPP). He provides subject matter expertise on climate change and energy transition. He supports the integration of climate change risk and opportunity considerations throughout the investment lifecycle, leads the portfolio carbon footprinting and total fund climate change risk measurement, and supports the internal climate change working group.

Prior to joining OTPP, Eli was the Ontario Regional Director at the Pembina Institute, where he was responsible for both the Ontario and Federal programs. His work at the Institute included convening thought leaders, technical analysis, policy advocacy, fundraising and team management.

Eli’s background includes project engineering and project management with the Alberta oil and gas sector, and extensive experience working in international development. Eli holds a BSc in chemical engineering from the University of Calgary.
